Powderly Meadows now offers training classes for you and your dog.

Through an affiliation with Jackie Galipeau, Powderly Meadows now offers training classes concentrating on common behavioral issues including the following:

• Jumping

• Separation anxiety

• Following basic commands

Jackie Galipeau is a certified dog trainer that specializes in problem behaviors and has worked with dogs and pet owners for many years. She worked for a local veterinarian for over 8 years, and here at Powderly Meadows since early 2005.  Jackie is also, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).

Unsatisfied with the behavior of her own dogs and the results of traditional methods, Jackie began her education in canine behavior by completing a nationally recognized certification course and read extensively about positive reinforcement and behavioral problems.  Through positive methods, she was able to make huge accomplishments in her own dog’s behavior.  Jackie realized that there is indeed hope for a change and understands the frustrations many dog owners face in their own household.

She has dedicated her training to providing humane methods, benevolent leadership, promoting socialization, and understanding, to help you and your beloved pet. Jackie continues to educate herself on new training techniques and discoveries made into canine behavior. Her goal is to guide people and dogs to create happiness and harmony in your home.

Jackie resides in Rochester with her loving family, two dogs; Ben, a rescued, 3-legged, chocolate Lab, Mandy, a yellow Lab, and Jessie, the cat.
