Due to current situation with COVID-19 start date for trail rides for the 2020 season has yet to be determined.

Looking for a fun activity for the whole family or group? Come and enjoy a trail ride at Powderly Meadows.

Riders will receive a short lesson and stir-up adjustment before departure. Your trail ride is approximately an hour long. It is a leisurely walking ride that takes you through the 50 acres of pastures and trails at Powderly Meadows. Riders of all skill levels are welcome.

It’s a great place for a company outing, team building event and a birthday party, too! If everyone is old enough the trail rides are fun for everyone. If we have some youngsters, pony walks are a big hit.

Is there a minimum age to go on the trail ride?

Yes, all riders must be ten (10) years of age.

My child is not 10 yet, do you have other options?

We also offer horseback riding lessons, kids riding camp and pony walks. During a pony walk, one of our handlers will guide your child and horse around one of our fenced in pastures.

Do you offer trail rides all year?

Our season starts in May and usually runs through October. During this time we usually offer trail rides every day. Call now to schedule your ride!

Am I required to wear a helmet?

Yes, and we supply them.

Where are you located? How far are you from Boston, MA or Providence, RI?

We are centrally located in Southeastern MA just 45 minutes from Boston, Providence and Newport, RI. If you are coming from Cape Cod, we are just 20 minutes North on route 495.

I am an experienced rider, can I trot or canter during the ride?

We offer walking trail rides only. Depending on skill set, trot and canter options may be available through private or group riding lessons.
